The new generation’s future goes through the overbearing
ugliness of what happened before.
The short film, “Oracle” is a production of the International Talent Club Canada, ITC ARTTOS, Bulgaria and Eurocan Global Inc., Canada. It was realized by creative director T. Madolev of Bulgaria and producer D. Dimitrov of Canada. The film was selected and scheduled to show in the 2008 Toronto European Film Festival. But before the EU Festival’s opening, the movie was taken off the program. This 15 minute Bulgarian-Canadian co-production (actually a ciphered, beautiful and tender message to the young ones) clearly scared Bulgarian politicians and they asked the Board of the EU Festival to reject the film scheduled to show on November 19, 2008. The Board is composed mainly by not, people of the arts, but politicians of all European countries represented in Toronto. France’s presiding over the Board legitimizes the censorship of their colleagues from the ex-communists countries… Some people create art and add to culture. Other people think they are making history. What kind of history will we leave for the future?
