THE PRESIDENT
HOW IT STARTED
In 1994 D. Dimitrov was authorized by INTERPLAY (International Playwright Festival, Australia) as an official representative for the Balkan Region.
Later in the same year he founded "Folk Art Agency" in Sofia, Bulgaria.
In a short period the Agency expanded its contacts and began to organize and manage international presentations for artists, models and concerts (featuring singers and musicians) in different European countries.
Folk Art Agency also held international art competitions.

The Agency became an active participant in charity initiatives. It has connected with different cultural institutions and organizations from Western and Eastern Europe, the Balkan and Mediterranean regions and Australia.
During the civil war in the former Yugoslavia, Folk Art Agency mediated between festivals and other cultural events from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia and kept them involved in European cultural life.
In 1998 in co-operation with government and professional theatrical organizations, Folk Art Agency founded the Balkan Regional Festival of Alternative Theatrical Forms "Theatre for Peace", in Razgrad, Bulgaria '98, 99', and 2000. In promoting intercultural awareness and understanding the support of theatrical productions from the various regions also served to ease ethical and political tensions.
From this successful venture another project was developed by Folk Art Agency. This was International Festival for Children Performances "The Magic Curtain" in Targovishte, Bulgaria and is still an annual event.
In the beginning of 2005 Folk Art Agency became the International Talent Club and is registered in Canada. The International Talent Club continues to maintain an international relationship with artists and performers and works to support their careers.
